Senior housing in Poland – how is the real estate market changing?

Yesterday, during the Tabelaofert TALKS conference, a wide range of topics related to the future of the real estate market was discussed – from demographics and investment financing, through urban development and technology, to the changing needs of residents.

One of the panel discussions focused on senior housing and the question of whether the Polish residential market is ready for the needs of an aging society. The discussion showed that not only legislative changes are needed, but also a new approach to spatial design and to how we think about the role of seniors in modern society.

As emphasized by Anna Watkowska, Vice President for Development at OKAM and Leader of the F.S.O. PARK and PRESTIA Senior Residences projects:
“We need to change the way we think about seniors. They are active, aware people who want to enjoy life and be part of the community, not be pushed to the margins. We need to create inclusive, open environments adapted to different age groups”.

The discussion provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and perspectives from representatives of various market segments. The panel featured: Paulina Cupak, Dagmara Kryskiewicz, Paweł Małyska, and Łukasz Masztakowski, and was moderated by Michał Kubicki.

The anniversary edition of the Tabelaofert conference, celebrating its 25th year, served as a platform for conversations about the future direction of the industry and the challenges that will shape the real estate market in the coming years.
