Enterprising women from Praga Północ – meet them!

On the occasion of the Global Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, which falls on November 19, we are initiating a series of podcasts called “Women of Praga Północ”, in which enterprising women associated with the Praga Północ district will participate. The aim of this initiative is to promote local activists and leaders who contribute to the development of this district, support local communities and inspire others. Women who want to emphasize how important it is to be together, to support each other, to be open to innovative ideas and to be courageous in making decisions.

Global Women’s Entrepreneurship Day is a global initiative aimed at strengthening the position of women in business, developing their leadership skills and supporting entrepreneurship. It is also an opportunity to honor successful businesswomen who are an inspiration to others, and at the same time to draw attention to why it is worth investing in women’s entrepreneurship.

For us, a developer operating in Praga Północ (as part of the projects: BOHEMA and F.S.O. PARK) and cooperating with the local community, companies and organizations, this year’s World Women’s Entrepreneurship Day is an excellent opportunity to integrate active and enterprising women operating in this district, who will share their experiences in a series of podcasts produced by OKAM.

• We decided to invite the Ladies associated with Praga Północ to a joint conversation, to introduce themselves, talk about their business, local government, cultural areas, but also to raise important topics that these women deal with on a daily basis. We want to arrange these stories, in the form of episodic podcasts, in the form of statements by our partners about what is important in the context of the development of Praga Północ, how we can jointly plan changes in this district, its long-term activity for the local community. – Urszula Karczmarczyk – Head of Marketing OKAM City.

Eight inspiring women have already confirmed their participation in the podcast project implemented by OKAM, including:
1. Anna Watkowska – Member of the Board of OKAM Capital and OKAM City, Lider of the F.S.O. PARK Project.
2. Marta Sękulska-Wrońska – Architect, Partner at the WXCA.
3. Katarzyna Kuzko-Zwierz – Manager of the Muzeum Warszawskiej Pragi Branch of the Warsaw Museum.
4. Dorota Wajszczak – Director of the DOSiR Praga Północ m.st. Warszawy.
5. Marta Chojnacka – General Manager of the Galeria Wileńska.
6. Joanna Szafranek – Member of the Board of OKAM Capital and OKAM City, CFO OKAM Capital.
7. Ola Smolińska – President of the Stowarzyszenie Serduszko dla Dzieci.
8. Katarzyna Sołtys – Director of the Dom Kultury Praga.

The aim of this initiative is to remind women of the great business potential that lies within them, how active they are, how independent they are and generally how enterprising they can be. We also want to draw attention to the importance of women’s support from other women.

We would like to systematically expand the group of experts so that the knowledge gathered in the form of conversations is as broad and useful as possible. The premiere of the first podcast with Anną Watkowską is planned for mid-December 2024.

• Our company is close to Praga Północ, where OKAM has been operating for many years, first as part of the BOHEMA – Strefa Praga project at ul. Szwedzka, which was also implemented by a woman, and now F.S.O. PARK. after the former FSO. We have cooperated many times with various institutions from Praga, with people involved in activities in Praga Północ. In many cases, the representatives were fantastic women who run or support various organizations in Praga Północ, conduct their activities for Praga, support local activities, the local community, and contribute to the development of Praga Północ. As part of our campaign, we want to strongly emphasize the involvement of enterprising women in the development of this district.
